Edwin grew up in Shreveport and graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge and LSU Law School in 1989. At LSU Law School he was the senior editor of the Louisiana Law Review. He returned to Shreveport and clerked for Chief United States District Judge Tom Stagg for two years. After this clerkship his practice focused on civil litigation. Edwin and his wife, Alison, also from Shreveport, have two sons, Henry and Pearce.
